"Paint the Town" (Dun Laoghaire) 27th June 2026

The second annual Parish-promoted art competition was held on the 27th June 2026. It proved be a great success with increased interest.  Following the first competition, a parishioner established the CCDL Arts Club which is open to all comers. This is not an art class but a group that shares ideas,tips etc.,

Cake/Bread sale with dog show

On Saturday 30^th May, we embarked on another new venture; a cake/bread sale and dog show
Specialised coffee and tea was provided from a mobile unit.

Cakes, scones, cookies, breads and short bread all sold very well.

Several Dogs were entered in the Dog Show and Competition - ranging from Shih Tsu, Sheepdog, Springer Spaniel, Terrier, Wee Chon, Weimaraner, and Miniature Schnauzer.

The weather was kind until about 1 pm and our supporters were very generous.We are very grateful to Bruce O’Brien and Paddy trainer for their sponsorship of the prizes for Dog Show.

So many parishioners helped make this a very successful venture but special thanks is due to Bridget Aylmer and Shirley Hastings for providing overall organisation/management
A sum of about €900 was raised and,, when the amount is finalised, it will be split 50/50 between
Christ Church with Mariners and Cancer Clinical Research Trust.
